HYDRAULIC SETTING TOOL The Hydraulic Setting Tool is used to convey and set permanent and retrievable sealbore packers on a workstring. Heavy-duty construction allows packer assembly to be worked through tight spots and into horizontal sections. The packer is set by surface pressure, or a combination of surface pressure and workstring tension. The packer can be tested from surface down the annulus before the setting tool is released. The setting tool can be released by right-hand rotation or shear release using hydraulic pressure. |
